Caring for pavé, decade after decade

Pavé lives or dies by its smallest stones. The melee that makes a band read as one unbroken line of light is held by prongs thinner than a needle, and those prongs are the reason your yearly inspection is not a sales tactic but basic maintenance.

Skip the ultrasonic cleaner at home. It is wonderful for a plain gold band and risky for anything with channel set or pavé work, because vibration finds the one seat that has loosened since the last check and turns a tightening appointment into a lost stone.

Hand cream is the quiet enemy. It migrates under the stones, dulls the sparkle long before dirt would, and feeds the film that ultrasonic cleaning would otherwise remove. Take your ring off before creams and cleaning products, and it will need professional attention half as often.

Once a year, bring the piece in. We check every seat under magnification, tighten what has moved, clean what home care cannot reach, and polish the metal only where it needs it. The service is included for life on every piece that leaves this workshop.
